Nigerian Society of Engineers advocates inclusive economy
The President, Nigerian Society of Engineers, Engr. Adekunle Mokuolu has called on the federal government to run an economy that benefits all Nigerians.
He said that the current system profits a few to the detriment of the majority.
Engineer Mokuolu who spoke at the fellowship conferment lecture and ceremony in Abuja, recently said, “It is high time that we stopped deceiving ourselves in this country.
We do not have an economy that benefits and sustains all Nigerians; Nigerian economy sustains only a few Nigerians, especially those in the corridor of power, in collaboration with foreign contractors.
I say this because our economy is dependent on export of our natural resources, and the prices and processes of extraction of these resources are not wholly determined by Nigerians”.
