The Nigerian Army to hold annual range classification

… Advice members of the public not to panic
The Nigerian Army is scheduled to hold her Annual Range Classification for the 81 Division Headquarters from 5th-17th June 2017.
To this, members of the public are advised not to panic as the event will be characterised with the movement of large body of troops and the firing of live ammunition.
The information which was contained in a press statement issued and signed by the Acting Deputy Director Army Public Relations Division, Lieutenant Colonel OM Daudu on Friday June 2nd 2017 reads:
“The year 2017 Annual Range Classification for Headquarters 81 Division Nigerian Army, will hold at the Nigerian Army Range Ajilete, Owode Barracks in Ogun State from 05 – 17 June 2017.
The event will involve the movement of a large body of troops and include the firing of live ammunition.
“The general public especially those who reside, farm or do business around the Ajilete range area are please advised to stay away from the area within this period. Furthermore, the general public are advised not to panic on seeing the movement of a large body of troops or hearing sounds of live firing.
“In view of the above, you are please requested to use your medium to disseminate this information to the general public. Thank you for your usual cooperation.”
