Niger govt reaffirms support for Agro Rangers

Secretary to the Niger State Government, Ahmed Ibrahim Matane, has reiterated the government’s continued support for the Agro Rangers Unit of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC).

Matane gave this assurance when he received the Assistant Commandant General in charge of Agro Rangers of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, ACG Shuayb Jibrin in his office.

The scribe expressed optimism that the establishment of Agro Rangers would assist in the protection of farmers and their agro allied investments from attacks by criminals.

He stressed that the activities of bandits in Shiroro, Rafi, Munya and Mariga Local Government Areas had adversely affected farming activities, adding: “The present administration led by Governor Abubakar Sani Bello will ensure that the insecurity challenges suffered by farmers in the state would be a thing of the past by giving Agro Rangers Unit all the necessary support it desires.”

In his remarks, Jibrin commended the state government for the support the NSCDC was receiving and assured that the personnel of the Corps will continue to discharge their duties diligently.
