NGF, CNPP Hail Buhari, APC over Victory

The Nigeria Governors’ Forum (NGF) and the Conference of Nigeria Political Parties (CNPP) have congratulated the president-elect, General Muhammadu Buhari (rtd) and All Progressives Congress (APC), for emerging victorious at the March 28 presidential election.
The NGF, in a statement on Wednesday by its Director General, Dr. Asishana Okaru, also congratulated Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and all other political parties who participated in the election.
The forum stated that the emergence of General Buhari at this point in Nigeria`s political history is nothing but the will of the people and the voice of God, considering the fact that he had previously contested the seat three times. It said, “We thank President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan for his concession of defeat. This is the mark of true sportsmanship.
We call on all other political party leaders to follow suit. “We look forward to a successful conduct of the forthcoming governorship and state assembly election on April 11, 2015,” NGF added. It reminded the president elect that the task ahead is enormous and prayed that God will use him to lead the country across party, religious, ethnic and sectoral lines.
