The Nigeria Football Federation has said they will not be making announcements on Stephen Keshi’s assistants just yet, as he begins work into his new 2-year contract to continue as the Super Eagles coach.
Daniel Amokachi has been Keshi’s first assistant since he took over in November of 2011, and has taken charge of the team in the Big Boss’ absence.
But strong indications from the Glass House suggests the former Everton of England striker will not be retained following a reported falling out with Keshi, with Salisu Yusuf penciled as Amokachi’s replacement.
But the NFF have refused to deny or confirm the reports, with first vice president Seyi Akinwunmi saying they will only announce Keshi’s assistants in ‘due time’.
“We are not presenting any assistant coaches now, we have only presented the chief coach and that is how it is.
