Neymar has received permission from Paris Saint-Germain to fly to Brazil for a family emergency, a source confirmed to ESPN FC.
The forward was suspended for PSG’s 2-1 win over Lille in Ligue 1 on Saturday, and though he attended the game, he is now set to return to his homeland, as first reported by RMC Sport.
PSG granted Neymar three days’ leave to attend to the matter, RMC reported, but he is now likely to miss PSG’s Coupe de la Ligue match away to Strasbourg on Wednesday.
Strasbourg handed PSG their first loss of the season last week, and the French giants went on to lose to Bayern Munich in the Champions League in midweek before righting the ship against Lille.
