NCC: Forum on cost-based pricing for retail broadband, data services holds today

In line with its agenda to promote accessibility and affordability for broadband penetration , the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) will today, January 16, 2018 host stakeholders in the telecommunications’ industry and the general public to a consultative forum on determination of cost- based pricing for retail Broadband and Data Services in Nigeria.

The event, which is billed to hold at Digital Bridge Institute (DBI), Cappa, Oshodi, Lagos, will provide industry players and stakeholders with ample opportunity to engage meaningfully with the NCC with a view to arriving at major regulation and guidelines for the sector.

However, preliminary findings by a consultant contracted by the Commission to carry out a study on cost based pricing will be unveiled to stakeholders at the forum.

Also, a keynote address is expected to be delivered and industry players will map out strategies with officials of the commission on the best approach to cost based study to determine pricing for retail broadband and data services in Nigeria.
