NCAC commends Uko on Africa tourism award

Under the auspices of Otunba Olusegun Runsewe, the management and staff of the National Council for Arts and Culture (NCAC) has joined millions of Nigerians in congratulating veteran in the Nigerian tourism and hospitality industry, Mr Ikechi Uko, since he earned the recognition as a result of his drive, commitment and passion for the growth and development of the hospitality sector both in Nigeria and Africa.
NCAC said, the award was to encourage him to continue the good works throughout Africa especially in the tourism and hospitality industry.”
This well-deserved award was presented to Uko by the Chief Executive Officer, Ethiopian Tourism Organisation, Yohannes Tilah.
He said, Uko, has clinched the 2017 MICE East Africa’s Tourism and Hospitality Personality Award in the just concluded East Africa Forum and Expo in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.
Uko is the organiser of the annual Akwaaba African Travel market exhibitions in Lagos Nigeria, the publisher of Africa Travel Quarterly Magazine as well.
