NAF commissions officers’ accommodation in Niger

The Nigeria Air Force (NAF) Base in Minna, Niger State has commissioned 18×2 senior non commissioned officers accommodation and urged officers and men to respect the rule of law and total loyalty to the constituted authorities of Nigeria.

The Chief of Air Staff, Air Marshal Sadique Baba Abubakar gave the charge in Minna at the commissioning of the block of building dedicated to late LCPL Tanko DJ who died during operation Zaman Lafiya in April 28, 2016 in the North East.

He said that this was aimed at enhancing the moral of Nigeria Air Force officers and men in service that their supreme sacrifice paid for their fatherland will never be in vein.

Abubakar however emphasized the need and commitment of NAF to the wellbeing of its personnel which has been its paramount priority hence to create enabling environment for their effective and efficient service delivery to the country.

Represented by the Chief of Administration, Air Vice Marshal Lawal Alooma who expressed satisfaction assured of proper supervision of the project which is not restricted to Minna Air Force Base alone.
He added that in July this year has raised from 48per cent to 71.2per cent in the provision of accommodation for its officers and men by the Nigeria Air Force in compliance with the President Muhammadu Buhari agenda and accordance with world standard.

The Commander of 351 Best Service Group (BSG) Minna, Air Commodore Idi Amin who applauded the gesture of the NAF for given much priority to the welfare of its personnel, assured of judicious used of the kind gesture to the best purpose.

The building named after late LCPL Tanko DJ who died during operation Zaman Lafiya in April 28, 2016 in the North East burn on 23th October, 1985, recruited into NAF on 22nd April, 2007.
