Barely three days after Justice John Inyang Okoro accused Rotimi Amaechi, the Minister for Transport, of attempting to bribe him, another Justice of the Supreme Court has laid same claims. Justice Sylvester Ngwuta has alleged that Ameachi begged him to facilitate the removal of Governor Ayodele Fayose of Ekiti state. In a letter dated October 18, Justice Ngwuta said his travail in the hands of the operatives of the Department of State Service (DSS), was because he refused to help the All Progressives Congress (APC) win governorship election cases involving Ekiti, Rivers and Ebonyi states. Share on Facebook Share on Twitter Justice Ngwuta accused Amaechi of trying to bribe him Amaechi has denied the allegations. The Rivers state chapter of the APC has also given Justice Inyang Okoro of the Supreme Court seven days to retract his bribery allegation against Amaechi or be ready to go to jail. These accusations are stirring dust regarding President Muhammadu Buhari’s fight against corruption. Some are wondering why the president has not ordered a thorough investigation of Amaechi.
In Reactions trail Justice Okoro’s allegations Nigerians have started reacting to this issue which casts aspersion on the person of Amaechi being that during his ministerial screening he claimed that he has never given neither has he received bribe in his life.
