My victory is a challenge to do more – Bwacha

The Senator-elect in the last Saturday’s National Assembly election for Southern Taraba Senatorial Seat, Emmanuel Bwacha has described his victory as a challenge and encouragement to serve the people better than he has done previously.

Bwacha, who our Correspondent learnt is currently the Senate Minority Leader at the National Assembly (PDP), stated this while addressing Journalists in Jalingo after being declared the winner of the Election.

He said his Election is an Encouragement to do more for the people of the Zone and Taraba in general.

While appreciating what he described as the resilient spirit and sacrifices made by the people of Southern Taraba who he disclosed, voted massively for him, Senator Bwacha pledged rendering better and more services to justify his mandate.

The Lawmaker who advised Politicians across the Country to play the game according to the laid down rules, further called on his Contenders not to defect to other Parties but to remain help build PDP, develop the Zone and the State in general.

It could be recalled that the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) Returning Officer for Southern Taraba National Assembly Election in the last Saturday’s polls, Professor Adeyeye Solomon declared Senator Emmanuel Bwacha, PDP winner, having scored a total number of 96,352 votes.

The INEC RO said Bwacha defeated Ishaya Bauka of APC who got 51,971, Joel Ikenya of APGA who also scored 47,093; and Ibrahim Adamu Tubase of UDP who got 15,123.
