More groups endorsed Gen Akpa for Kogi Guber APC ticket

A Socio-Cultural Group, Bassa-Nge Cultural and Development Association in Kogi state has endorsed the governorship ambition of Major General Patrick Ademu Akpa rtd, Chairman of the Association Mr Ali Abubakar stated this at a meeting in Gboloko, Bassa local government area of Kogi State on Wednesday.
Abubakar said their decision to endorse Major General Patrick Ademu Akpa to contest for the governorship of Kogi State followed his rich records of achievement, sincerity, dedication and selfless service which have made him stand out among the other aspirants.
According to him, though the association is not a political group, their decision was borne out of the dire need of a purposeful leadership that will explore diverse ways towards economic empowerment of the state.
The President described Akpa as the new hope for Kogi State in view of his experience in the military.
Also the leader of motivated youth for Buhari has endorsed Gen Akpa for the APC Guber ticket.
The group was led by its president to during a courtesy visit to General Akpa in Lokoja stated that Akpa represent the common hope of democracy in Kogi state.
The president of the group, Abdulsalam Hassan said the call for APC to give Akpa the Guber ticket is because of lack of quality of leadership in the present administration in the state.
In statement signed by the Gen Akpa media office, Pastor John Desmond, said Gen Akpa has received over one thousand endorsement from various interest groups in the state.
He thanks them for their confidence in his ability to bring the expected hope to state.
Akpa promised to prioritize on human and economy development of the state if elected.
He called on the people of the state to vote out leaders whose preoccupation is to foment trouble among the diverse ethnic groups in the state for their selfish interests.
