May & Baker pays 6 kobo per share dividend

May & Baker Nigeria Plc has indicated intention to reward shareholders in 2017, for the 2016 financial year, with a dividend proposal of 6 kobo per share, amounting N58, 800,000.00.

Having kept shareholders in suspense on dividend payment, having released its 2016 audited financial statement, the board of Directors of May& Baker has recommended a dividend payment of N0.06 per share amounting to N58, 800,000.00 subject to withholding tax for the year ended 31 December 2016.

A release by the Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE) on behalf of the company signed by Ayodeji S. Abderin, executive finance Director May & Baker Plc, stated that if the dividend is finally approved by shareholders at its forth coming annual General Meeting (AGM), the warrants will be posted on 5th June, 2017 to shareholders whose names appear in the register by close of business on Friday April 21.

According to the company, the register of members and transfer books will be closed from Monday 24th to Friday 28th April 2017, both dates inclusive for the preparing the list of shareholders qualified to receive the notice Annual general meeting and for dividend payment.
