United have been monitoring his movements and are believed to have contracted Barcelona via email early in 2020 in a bid to open talks about signing the youngster.

Barcelona, on the other hand, have been working on convincing Jurado to stay at the club considering the fact that they have tied down fellow youngster Ansu Fati and Ilaix Moriba with new deals despite growing interest from other clubs.

According to Spanish publication Sport, Jurado was given an option to continue his development and an improved salary with the academy but it has emerged that he has told the club about his potential departure.

It is yet to be seen what the outcome will be for the parties involved.
