Man arraigned for raping 17-yr-old
Lucky Michael, 18, was yesterday arraigned before a Lagos state Magistrate court sitting in Ikeja, for allegedly raping a 17 year old (names withheld) girl, who happened to be his neighbour.
The accused, who was arraigned on a one-count charge, bothering on sexual assault, was said to have carried out this crime on the 7th August, 2016, at Orile Agege, Lagos.
Magistrate Bola Osunsanmi who presided over the case asked the complainant if she does not have any other relationship with the defendant, other than the fact that they were neighbours, judging from their age proximity, the complainant said he was just a neighbour.
Counsel to the defendant, Olowa Akindele, appealled that the he be granted bail on very liberal terms. This application was however not objected to by the Prosecuting Counsel, Simeon Imhonwa.
Magistrate. Bola Osunsanmi therefore granted the defendant bail in the sum of N200,000 with two sureties.
