…Asks Osun govt to immortalise late musician
The Member representing Obokun/ Oriade Federal Constituency of Osun State in the House of Representatives, Hon. Wole Oke on Wednesday described the passing away of music reggae icon, Majekodunmi Ifasheke popularity known as Majek Fashek as sad and painful, saying that the Ijesha land of the Nigeria nation lost an illustrious son.
In a statement made available to news men in Abuja, Oke, who is also the the Chairman of the House Committee on Public Accounts said that the deceased would be missed by all Yorubas, especially those from Ijesha land
The People’s Democratic Party, PDP, law maker said the late Majekodunmi who died at the age of 56, gave his best in terms of representing the Ijesha/Yorubas in the reggea music around the globe.
According to him, “on this day, I join millions of lover of his reggea music to mourn a very distinguished man, who made Nigeria music industry proud.

”Though he is no more today, we find solace in the fact that he lived a life worthy of emulation may God grant the good people of Osun State and the family the fortitude to bear the loss and well to grant him peaceful Rest”..
He, however, urged the state government to immortalis the late Music Ambassador to encourage youths in their chosen professions .
