LASU VC And 90 Others Shortlisted For SAN Award

The Legal Practitioners’ Privileges Committee (LPPC) has announced the names of 67 lawyers and 24 academics who are being considered for admission into the rank of the Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN) for 2017.

Secretary of the LPPC and Chief Registrar of the Supreme Court, Ahmed Saleh, announced in a public notice on Wednesday that the shortlisted lawyers have scaled through the first and second filtration processes and have been found worthy to attend the interview preparatory to the award of the rank of Senior Advocate of Nigeria.

The statement noted that the LPPC welcomes comments from the public as regards the integrity, reputation and competence of the shortlisted candidates.

It also read that any member of the public who has any complaint about any of the shortlisted lawyers must file same before the LPPC not later than June 5, 2017, adding that such a complaint must be accompanied with a verifying affidavit deposed to before a court of record in Nigeria.
