Lamurde to Bashama: Reps Kwamoti sponsors a bill to rename LG in Adamawa

The member representing Numan/Lamurde/Demsa constituency at the house of representatives, Rt. Hon Kwamoti B. Laori has initiated a bill for the change of name of Lamurde local government in Adamawa State to Bashama local government.

The bill entitled, ” a bill for an Act to Amend the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria 1999 (As Amended) by changing the Name of Lamurde LGA of Adamawa State to BASHAMA LGA sponsored by Rt. Hon. KWAMOTI B Laori (Sunga- Takalo-Bata”, has passed first reading in the green chambers.

If passed into law, Lamurde local government the spiritual headquarters of the Bachama people will be addressed as Bashama local government.
