Lagos Speaker to be installed as Bamofin of Ijesaland
The Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Mudashiru Ajayi Obasa will on Tuesday, December 19, be installed as the Bamofin ( Erudite Lawmaker) of Ijesaland by His Royal Majesty, Oba ( Dr) Gabriel Adekunle Aromolaran, the Owa Obokun of Ijesaland in his palace.
Obasa’ s installation is one of the highlights of this year’ s annual celebration of the Iwude festival by sons and daughters of Ijesaland home and abroad.
The ceremony kicked off on December 6 and will be rounded off on Saturday, December 23 with colourful activities in which the Speaker as the new Bamofin and the Governor of Osun State, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola will be Guests of Honour.
