Kwara Hijab Crisis Can Spread To Other States If Not Curtailed – Olokoba

Comrade Razaq Olokoba, a political analyst and human rights activist, is the National President of the Campaign for Dignity in Governance (CDG), a coalition of more than 70 civil society organizations.
In a media interview in Lagos, the Kwara State-born public commentator blasted his state governor, AbdulRazaq AbdulRahman, as well as the Hijab issue, which has pitted Christian and Muslim adherents against each other. The following are excerpts from AKINWUNMI KING’s book:
Kwara State has recently been engulfed in a number of political crises; are you happy with the governor’s political party’s crisis?
In addition, the governor should work hard to overcome the crisis within his party, the All Progressives Congress (APC), since having an opposition within the party is risky.

The voters who elected the APC in 2019 would be disappointed if the party follows in the footsteps of the previous government, which contributed to its demise.
The APC would be surprised if people began to withdraw their sympathy for it and instead praised the previous administration.
I’m not the sort to go out and have a nice time. However, one might wonder why the APC was unable to handle the internal crisis and therefore seems incapable of managing progress.
The leadership of the party should appreciate the consequences of going into the election year with a divided house. I am afraid if the crisis is not distracting the governor by now!
