Kefas approves medical trip for Taraba traditional rulers

Taraba State governor, Agbu Kefas has granted approval for all Traditional Rulers in the State to embark on medical check-up across the Country.
The Permanent Secretary, Bureau for Local Government, Traditional and Chieftaincy Affairs in the State, Babangida Hassan stated this Thursday during a Press Conference in Jalingo.
Hassan said, the categories of the affected Traditional Rulers are 1st Class, 2nd Class and 3rd Class Chiefs.
Describing the gesture as the first of its kind since the creation of the State in 1991, the Permanent Secretary charged the Traditional Rulers to take advantage of the opportunity to conduct thorough diagnosis of their bodies for their well-being in order to justify the resources given and to reciprocate the good gesture of the Governor.
While congratulating the Chairman, Taraba State Council of Chiefs, Manu Ishaku Adda Ali, the Aku Uka of Wukari, Hassan charged the Paramount Rulers to recognize their roles by assisting the Government in maintaining Peace, Security and harmonious co-existence.
In a remark, the Senior Special Adviser to Governor Kefas on Media and Digital Communication, Emmanuel Bello lauded the Bureau for always standing with the
Governor at all times.
“Under your management, the Bureau has always done a lot already in the last seventy days”,
“Kefas from inception has shown serious concern for the welfare of the Traditional Institution”, said Bello.
He described the gesture by the Governor as just the beginning noting that Paramount Rulers under Governor Kefas would be taken to greater heights.
Appreciating the honour done to all Traditional Rulers in the State, the Chairman, Taraba State Council of Chiefs, Manu Ishaku Adda Ali who doubles as the Aku Uka of Wukari stated that Governor Kefas is sensitive to the need of the Royal Fathers and sensitive to the need of the people of the State.

The Aku Uka, represented by the Chief of Old Muri, HRH. Alh. Abdullahi Baba Chiroma added that Tarabans are getting their dreams confirmed by the coming of Kefas in the State.
According to him, Kefas had not spent up to 100 days but what he has done is more than 1000 days.
He started by declaring free and compulsory Education at our Primary and Secondary Schools which is a great move”,
“His approval of allowances for all Traditional Rulers to embark on Medical check-up is the first of its kind in the State”,
“He therefore, deserves special commendation”, said the Paramount Ruler.
