Journalist joins LG poll race in Abia, identifies with APC

As Abia State Independent Electoral Commission (ABSIEC) prepares to
organise local government election in the state on December 17th 2016, an Abia based Journalist, Comrade Chijindu  Chinedu Emeruwa, of Mbaocha ward in Umuahia North Local Government Area has picked his nomination form to
contest for councillorship position on  platform of All Progressive Congress (APC).

Comrade Chijindu in an interaction with newsmen said he was motivated to join APC because of President Muhammadu Buhar’s
Transformation agenda in Nigeria.

He said, if voted into power on December 17th 2016, he would ensure the people of his ward are empowered in  terns  of quality education through  better representation  among other Sundry programme that will
enhance development in the Area.

The journalist who dismissed claims from some quarters that he was been sponsored by a top politician closed to Aso Rock, maintained that  the people
of his ward collectively sought for his representation, as according to him, those trusted with same position  by the people in the past disappointed them, hence he was called to take the slot.
