JIBWIS berates APC, Buhari over campaign promises

The Jama’atu Izalatil Bid’ah Wa’ikamatis Sunnah (JIBWIS) has berated the All Progressives Congress (APC) and President Muhammadu Buhari for ‘not fulfilling’ the campaign promises they made before the 2015 general elections.
The group made the statement through its National Chairman Ulama Council, Sheikh Muhammad Sani Yahaya Jingir during the matriculation ceremony of about 105 new students of Sahlan School of Health Technology in Jos Monday.
Sheikh Jingir explained that APC and Buhari have promised to focus on Agriculture, rehabilitation and construction of new roads, sanitizing education sector and also promised to give N5, 000 to unemployed, but so far nothing to write home about.
He said, “They said if we voted for them, they promised to improve agriculture, roads, education and pay 5000 to unemployed youths and so far they didn’t deliver.”
He reminded Buhari and APC that time awaits no one, “therefore do work that would make you to win the hearts of people and to leave a legacy that you would be proud of.”
He commended Buhari for the fight against insecurity and corruption, urging the president to use the recovered funds from looters to improve the economy and to better the lives of the Nigerian masses.
He said, “PDP has come to us with millions but we didn’t collect it, in fact we contributed our money for Buhari to fund his campaign. We have done our part; we are waiting for Buhari to do his. And he needs to do it fast.”
