Insecurity: Zamfara Govt declares curfew in Jangebe Town

After Wednesday’s attack on government officials during the formal handover of the two hundred and seventy-nine girls to their parents, the Zamfara State government has imposed dusk – to – dawn curfew in Jangebe town.
A statement signed by the commissioner for information, Suleiman Anka says the government took the decision based on strong evidence of market activities in the town that aid and abet bandits in Jangebe and neighboring communities.
Consequently, all market activities in the town are hereby suspended until further notice.
It also said the state government is poised to ensure the safety of the lives and property of its citizens at all costs.
The State government has directed m the Zamfara State Police Command to ensure total enforcement of the curfew.
