Ibadan Gets New Chief Imam
The new chief imam of ibadanland, Sheik AbdulGaniyy Agbotomokekere will be turbaned on Friday.
The event is scheduled to hold at Adamasingba stadium Ibadan.
Agbotomokekere , the Alfa Agba of Ibadan-land was an Arabic scholar and teacher and will be succeeding the late Chief Imam Sheik Busari Suara Haruna who died in April at the age of 93.
The chairman of Ibadan Muslim Community. Chief Bayo Oyero on Monday said members of the league of Imam and Alfas in Yorubaland Edo and Delta state are expected at the occasion .
Other dignitaries expected to grace the occasion Include, The Executive governor of Oyo State, Sen Isiaka Abiola Ajimobi,Olubadan of Ibadanland , Oba Samuel, Odugade Odulana Sheriki Musulumi of Yorubaland Alhaju yekini Adeojo, Iyalode of Ibadanland Aminat Abiodun and others.
