‘I Never dated Timaya’ – Lisa Walsh
Two years ago, news of an alleged love affair between Nigerian dancehall star, Timaya and fashion entrepreneur, Lisa Walsh made rounds. At that time, Timaya declined to comment on the issue while Lisa simply went MIA.
A few days ago, our reporters ran into Lisa Walsh at an event in Lagos and quickly cornered her for a brief chat.
We gather that Lisa Walsh has been out of the country for a couple of years and had just returned to promote her new projects.
In her words, ‘yea, I’ve been away for a while. I had to take time off to re-invent, re-strategies and re-launch some of my projects which includes a new website, a series of fashion shows and real estate’.
When asked about her alleged affair with Timaya, she responded saying, ‘just to clear the air, I have never dated Timaya. He’s a friend and I’ve known him for over 7 years, he’s actually a family friend. I feel people are just trying to make up stories, and I don’t think I am up for that right now because I am back to Nigeria for good to do what I know how to do best, helping people and pushing my business forward’.
It would be recalled that in August 2015, Timaya was in the news for allegedly raping a US based Nigerian woman called Shella – B who called him out on social media.
Olamide, Gordon, others for Fast N Funny show
Top entertainers that includes YBNL Boss, Olamide, alongside D’banj and Phyno are some of the A-list super stars billed to perform at the second edition of comedian Seyi Law’s comedy concert tagged ‘ Fast N Funny: Kings and Queen edition’ scheduled for Sunday, July 24, 2016 at the prestigious Eko Hotel & Suites, Victoria Island, Lagos.
In a chat with Life & Times, Seyi disclosed that all hands are currently on deck towards the successful output of the show in few weeks’ time, adding “it’s my second edition and we have worked on the flaws of the debut edition and so we want our guests to come prepared to have fun.
On why it is tagged ‘the King &Queen edition’, Seyi noted that this year’s edition will serve as a voice to female performers and will be filled with loads of surprises beyond fans’ expectations as a guest will be winning a 2 bedroom apartment.
Artistes billed to perform includes I Go Dye, Gordons, Gandoki, AY, Alibaba, Akpororo, Kenny Blaq, Whalemouth, Prince will, Ajele, Chuks D General, Buchi, Elenu, DJ Neptune, DJ Spinall, DJ Xclusive, Dj Nana, DJ Lambo, Phyno, Kcee, Ycee, Kiss Daniel, Wande Coal, Tekno, Banky W, Seyi Shay, Tjan, Adekunle Gold, Solid Star, Vector, Reekado Banks, Cynthia Morgan, and OristseFemi amongst others.
My dream is to have Jay-Z on my track
Fondly called Lyrical Machine, Ayomipo Isaac Sotunde, better known as BaseOne, has hinted that he fantasises working with American star, Jay-Z one day. BaseOne describes Jay-Z as one of those notable rappers he has looked up on as mentor for his versatile style of rap delivery.
On having a collaboration with the top star, BaseOne noted that having Jay-Z on any of his track by chance will be a dream come through in his career. He said: “I don’t necessarily need him for a whole album, just a track on any of my songs will do”.
The Aquila record act is currently working on couple of songs that will excite his listening audience as his new jam, Skon Skon is currently enjoying massive airplay across radio and television stations.
New Act Alert: Lolo out with Dara
Comedienne and Radio personality, Lolo 1 of Wazobia FM has proved she is an all-round entertainer as she ventured into music with the release of her single titled ‘ Dara’ which is based on true life story.
Dara is however produced by Kmos and is currently enjoying massive airplay.
