Why I am aspiring for a seat in Lagos Assembly -Adedipe

An aspirant on the platform of People Democratic Party (PDP) for the Lagos State House Of Assembly for Alimosho constituency 01, Dawood Adedipe Ewela has explained why he want to contest for the position to represent his people.
Speaking with The Daily Times recently in his Abule Egba, Lagos office, the youthful Politian who hosted the party faithful on Ileya day disclosed that gunning for the position was borne out of zeal to serve.
“My going for the position is to correct the bad things the present people representing us at the House are doing and I see myself as a better candidate than them, I notice there is no improvement in this local government, that is why I decided to contest as a youth and I believe I can perform better and better”
On his first project if he eventually get the party ticket and win the election, he said “My first project will be grassroots, make sure all the youths have future, because around me I can see more jobless youths around, this is what will be first priority to create job for the youths, I want to fight for the youth,”
On his chances, he said, “this time around we are not talking about party but personality, I know this is APC state, and if I am to contest even under APC platform they will give me ticket, I have a foundation of over 10 years where we trained people how to become what they want and at least in this Alimosho alone I have done more than 6 borehole projects, computer training for students,
so this is not a matter of party but personality, I used to give widows food and it is a yearly thing. I have spent more than 6 million naira on this including buying things for people who are still learning trade.
“Some people may be saying I am doing this so as to when I got to the place I will get the money back, but to those set of people I will say no, even if I get to the seat I will still continue the good job.
If you must know, some politicians even get government money, but they will not spend it on people or on any project rather on their personal self. So if I get to the post I will do more than what I am presently doing now,” he said.
