Hisbah raids Badawa Agangara market over alcohol, immorality

Commander General of Kano state Hisbah corps Harun Ibn Sina has confirmed that his operatives had, in its effort to maintain sanity and high moral standards, destroyed alcoholic drinks hidden in a local market in Badawa area of Nassarawa local government area.

According to him the operation conducted in collaboration with the tourism and hospitality management board and other security agencies.

Agangara market is popularly known among locals where all sorts of things happen, from the sale of alcohol to temporary lodgings.

Speaking a day after the raid the commandant general of the HISBA board said they got information from a reliable source and they confirmed it before switching into action.

Ibn Sina added that they cannot allow immoral and illegal things happening in the area to continue.

Some shop owners in the market who lost valuables to the raid call on the government to help them out of this situation.

Although the prior notice was given to the shop owners before now, many said the notice given to them is too short.
