Gov Sani-Bello bans heavy duty vehicles from plying Suleja township roads

Henceforth, tankers and other heavy duty trailers have been banned from plying inside Suleja township roads in order to avoid disasters caused by these vehicles.

This directive was handed down by the Niger State Governor, Alhaji Abubakar Sanni-Bello, at the weekend when he visited the scene of an accident caused by a Petrol Tanker that claimed the lives of two persons with three others seriously injured at Suleja.

The governor has also called for a national legislation that will regulate the maximum weight fuel tankers and articulated vehicles plying our roads.

According him, this should be carried out in order to reduce carnage on highways and to preserve the life span of the roads.
