Glo makes recharge easier, launches Sharp Sharp E-Top up

Getting recharge vouchers has been made easier with the launch of Sharp Sharp E Top Up by telecommunications giant, Globacom. Also launched were integrated self-care & entertainment app, Glo Café.
The Sharp Sharp E Top Up, Globacom said, gives subscribers eight times more credit whenever the vouchers are bought through electronic platforms.
The offer is exclusively available to all new and existing prepaid customers who recharge their lines through electronic recharge channels like the Glo Café App and Quickteller, Automated Teller Machines, Gloworld outlets, authorised Glo dealer outlets, *805# Glo easy recharge solution, various banking mobile apps, POS terminals in select mega retail stores.
Speaking at the launch in Lagos recently, Senior Manager, Events and Sponsorships, of the the teleco, Sola Mogaji, said Sharp Sharp E Top Up is the company’s way of simplifying recharge processes for its teeming subscribers.
“Not only this, the benefits of recharging via E-top up are immense. They include convenience, speed of transfer as well as security of the transaction. For example, customers can recharge at any time and from anywhere in the world. They can avoid cash transactions and hassles of looking for “change” as any amount can be purchased via E-top up whether for voice calls or data usage. Also, subscription can be made for any data package of a subscriber’s choice through the same avenue,” he said.
The exciting product ensures that a subscriber who recharges via E-top up with specific amounts, will be credited with 8 times the value recharged.
The launch was a twin as another product dubbed Glo Cafe which offers customers instant access to all Glo products and services from a one-stop single application was also launched.
In fact, the application, as far as Olamide Badoo, one of Globacom’s ambassadors would have us believe, is the coolest place to be with its pot pourri of offers including entertainment, customer support system, products and services.
Mogaji disclosed that this is one of the greatest applications ever launched in the Nigerian market. The key highlights include real-time voice and data balance enquiry; freedom to recharge and view recharge history with option to migrate to a tariff plan of choice; option to buy and share data bundles as well as purchase of voice bundles.
Other features include access to all transaction details related to post-paid accounts such as bill amount due, last bill payments, easier access to call centre through live chat with agents without waiting in queues.
According to him, in addition to the self-service capabilities, Glo Café offers Africa’s largest digital content library for entertainment with world-class gaming on the go; thousands of HD movies & videos, over 2 million songs, over 10,000 videos music videos, jokes, sports & entertainment.
He noted that the biggest attraction of Glo café is the Glo Live Cast, “where we proudly stamp our authority as the first operator in Nigeria to launch Mobile TV (Glo live cast). Now, our subscribers can watch live TV channels such as NTA, AIT, WAP TV and others with HD quality streaming on their Glo mobile phones”.
