Glo Backs Eagles to Beat Uganda
Major sponsor of Nigerian national teams, Globacom, has declared support for the Super Eagles ahead of the international friendly match between the Eagles and Cranes of Uganda scheduled for Ibom International Stadium today.
Globacom, in a press statement in Lagos on Tuesday, stated that the Eagles need maximum support from Nigerians in their quest to return to reckoning after missing out of the last Africa Cup of Nations in Equatorial Guinea.
“Our focus should be on getting the team in shape ahead of the qualifying matches for the next Africa Cup of Nations,” the company said.
Globacom, therefore, advised the coaches to assemble the best players both from the Glo Premier League and the foreign leagues with the aim of building a formidable team that will stand the test of time and make Nigeria proud in subsequent competitions.
Meanwhile, the invited players under the watchful eyes of Coach Daniel Amokachi and his coaching crew have intensified preparation for the encounter at Akwa Ibom Stadium with the players assuring Nigerians of a good outing in the match.
