Gani Adams speaks on why he celebrates birthday annually, as he turns 48

The Aare Onakakanfo of Yoruba land, Aare Gani Adams, has given reasons while he always celebrates his birthday anniversary, this is even as he turns 48 years Monday.

Speaking with journalists at media parley in his Omole phase II, Lagos, home, Adams disclosed that the annual event is to appreciate God for his blessings upon his life.

“Monday, April 30 is my birthday, and I will be 48. It is my usual tradition to celebrate it in a big way. I often tell people that each year, I celebrate my birthday to receive, I celebrate my birthday to receive more blessings from God. Over the years, God has been so good to me and the rest of my family.

“I can’ t thank God enough for the inestimable blessing bestowed on me, annually, I always have reasons to celebrate my birthday anniversary, that is why I invite people from across the world to celebrate with me,” he said.

Adams explained further that the birthday party has become his annual ritual, adding that it is always good to appreciate God.

Aare Adams said he is using the event to also host many of his admirers across the world.

Prominent dignitaries expected at this year’s event include, prominent traditional rulers across the South West states, governors, top business men and women, members of the national coordinating council of the Oodua People’s Congress (OPC), all members of the Oodua Progressive Union(OPU), in all the 82 countries across the world, and politicians.

Aare Gani Adams was born on 30th April, 1970, he is the 15th Aare Onakakanfo of Yoruba Land, the National coordinator of the Oodua People’s Congress (OPC), Global Convener of Oodua Progressive Union (OPU), the Chief Promoter of Olokun festival foundation.

This year edition of the birthday anniversary will come up on Tuesday, 1 May at Martino’s Hotel, Jobi Fele Way, Opposite Corporate Affairs Commission, Alausa, Ikeja, Lagos. Time is 12pm prompt.
