Gani Adams is Kashamu’s agent -says Kwara OPC

Coordinator  of the splinter group of Oodua People’s Congress (OPC) in Kwara State, Alhaji Maruff Olarewaju,‎ has said that Otunba Gani Adams remains an agent of Senator Buruji Kashamu,  accusing Adams of receiving gift items from him (Kashamu) in the past and cannot turn him down now that he needs his assistance.

He stated this in a statement made‎ available to Daily Times in Ilorin, Kwara State Capital.

‎”Our attention has been drawn to a statement credited to formal leader of OPC Gani Adams where his trying to play smart on Buruji Kasamu statement that he will engage the service of OPC to protect himself against any form of arrest”

“For the purposes of record, Gani Adams has been enjoying the financial support from Senator Buriji Kashamu since 2010”.

“To put the record straight, Senator Buruji Kashamu gave Gani Adams two Amanda Jeeps in 2010, when Gani can’t afford to buy a car for himself” the statement reads.

According to the statement, “Towards the Olokun festival in 2010, when Gani Adams ran out of cash, it was this Senator who bail Gani Adams out of financial mess by giving him $40,000 (forty thousands U.S dollars ).”

The OPC group said Adams can not reject Kasamu’s call for protection now as pay back time.

“If today this Senator call on Gani Adams for protection he has no reason to reject the Senator demand, as A friend in need is a friend in deed ” Kasamu has pay his due before now”

The statement added that Adams should have remembered his image and reputation before going into politics in 2015,spear heading Jega Must go rally in Lagos adding that he has a tarnished image and reputation already.

“Surprisingly, Gani Adams is now talking about his image and reputation, has he forgotten his reputation and image when he dabble into politics in 2015 organising “JEGA MUST GO RALLY ” in lagos, his image and reputation has already been dented”

“But we are not surprised about the attitude of Gani Adams, as is found of it, he did the same to Senator Ogunwale in Osun state, likewise the former Lagos state Governor Asiwaju Ahmed bola Tinubu who rescue Gani Adams during president Obasanjon regime and also stood by him during his wedding, but today Gani Adams is seing Asiwaju Tinubu as his number one enemy,” it stated.

The group called on the general public to disregard the statement on Buruji Kasamu as he remains an agent of the Senator but put up this kind of attitude whenever he wants support from other people adding that he has betrayed OPC trust impose on him.
