Alhaji Mohammad made the call at the 11th annual delegates’ conference of the Ogun state chapter of the association held in Abeokuta, the Ogun state capital.

“Bringing down the pump price is a welcome idea; it shows Mr. President feels the pulse of the masses. My executive and l will look into what we can do in terms of transport fares,” he added.

On the coronavirus pandemic, Alhaji Musa appealed to the federal government to support members of the association with coronavirus detector machines to enable them check passengers at various motor-parks.

“It is for us to provide awareness for the passengers. We are using this opportunity to request from the Federal Ministry of Health to support our members with detectors for checking the temperature of passengers in every motor-park before boarding our vehicles so that if we get anybody with the trace of the disease, we can easily hand over such to health officers,” Alhaji Musa stated.

The president charged the new executive of the association in the state led by Oluomo Titilayo Akibu to be transparent in all their dealings, adding that the chairman should avoid anything that will cause disunity among members.

Also, the state Secretary, Chief Tiwalade Akingbade, assured the state governor that all parks and garages in the state will conduct their businesses in a peaceful and orderly manner, adding that all revenues accruable to government will be remitted through the right channels.

“It is our goal to cooperate with the government of Governor Dapo Abiodun and we look forward to partnering with the state government in fixing all the major bad roads in the state. A good road is a blessing to all road users, particularly to us the commercial bus operators,” Akingbade said.
