FRSC strengthens safety measures, trains staff on roads’ smartness

The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Anambra State Command has resolved to train its officers on intelligent studies and other safety related issues that will enhance safety of road users.

This was resolved when the Sector Commander Federal Road Safety Corps Anambra State, Mr. Andrew Kumapayi, received in audience the Officer-in-Charge of the Defence Intelligence Agency Cell, Anambra State, Mr N. L Omeje, in his office at the FRSC Anambra State Headquarters, Awka.
On his visit, Mr. Omeje said the purpose was to inform the Sector Commander of the existence of Defence Intelligence Agency Cell in Anambra State and to familiarise himself with the FRSC formation in the state with the view to identifying areas of workable synergy between both agencies.

Omeje commended the state’s Sector Commander for his tremendous contributions in road management, especially during festive periods.
Receiving Omeje, the Sector Commander, FRSC Anambra State, Mr. Andrew Kumapayi, expressed satisfaction over the visit and assured him of FRSC’s readiness to partner with the Defence Intelligence Agency Cell in all areas of mutual interest, especially in the areas of providing safety of lives and properties of ndi Anambra.
At the visit, both Commanding Officers also agreed to share intelligence and promote inter-agency training for staff of both agencies, to enhance service delivery in Anambra State.
The highlight was the presentation of a copy of the revised edition of the Nigeria Highway Code to Mr. NL Omeje by the Sector Commander, Federal Road Safety Corps Anambra State, Andrew A. Kumapayi.
