Former Supreme Court Justice Aderemi passes on at 79

A former Justice of Supreme Court of Nigeria ((JSC) Justice Pius Olawiyola Aderemi is dead. Aged 79, the news of his demise was communicated via a post from the Chairman of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), Ibadan Branch and it reads thus:

‘With gratitude to God for a life well spent, the Exco announce the passing to higher glory the of our patron Hon. Justice P.O. Aderemi (JSC retired).

It said further information as may be announced by the family shall be provided.”

The NBA Ibadan branch said Justice Aderemi had contributed greatly to the development of law from the Bench through his scholarly writings and well researched judgements.

Justice Aderemi retired from the Supreme Court bench in 2009 .
