Tuesday saw the nationwide strike called off by Organized Labor for five days in order to accommodate a meeting with the tripartite committee on the new national minimum wage.
A source with the leaders of Labour disclosed this to newsmen.
Remember that on Monday, labor leaders met with George Akume, the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), and other government representatives. The outcome of the meeting was a resolution stating that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu was committed to implementing a new minimum salary that would surpass N60,000.
They also decided that in order to reach a consensus on a National Minimum Wage, the Tripartite Committee would convene daily for the following week.

Today at a meeting with FG Tripartite Committee scheduled by 10am, Labour suspended its srike.
With this development, every government and private offices are expected to reopen and function as usual.
