FEC approves ₦8.49bn for COVID-19 testing
The Federal Executive Council (FEC) has approved the sum of ₦8.49 billion for COVID-19 testing.
This was made known on Wednesday, August 11 during the FEC meeting.
The money will be used to purchase 12 assorted items for the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), the council stated.

Daily Times reports that the meeting was presided over by President Muhammadu Buhari at the State House in Abuja.
The memo for the procurement was presented by the Minister of Health, Osagie Ehanire, on behalf of the center at the Council chambers of the Presidential Villa, Abuja.
