FCT Model NYSC Camp Underway-Minister

In response to a Presidential Directive issued by President Goodluck Jonathan in putting up a world class National Orientation Camp for fresh graduates in the FCT, the Minister of State for FCT Mrs Olajumoke Akinjide, has said that its administration, will do everything possible to adhere strictly to ensuring that the project is worthy of emulation.

The Minister, said this during the architectural design competition for the new model NYSC orientation camp, to be cited at kwali Abuja.

According to the FCT Minister of State, who was represented by the permanent Secretary Engineer Obinna Chukwu, said that the technical steps to be taken by the technical jury in determining who becomes the designer, will be world class to the admiration of all states across the country.

Further speaking the Minister, pointed out that the architectural design competition, would be the prefered strategy to procure a design that would meet the critical ideas of Mr. President’s directives.

Also speaking during the shot ceremony, Director, Public building architect Bernard A. Lot, said that his group would as well do good job in selecting the best designer for the project.

He said that the model NYSC camp, would be such with all the features which will stand it out among other structures in the country.

Stressing the fact that what makes a strong structure is the ability of the engineers to put up all the necessary features.
The NYSC camp in Kubwa Abuja, can no longer accommodate huge numbers of posted corp members with little limited number of houses.
