Fashola immortalises late father

Institutes Fashola Photographic Foundation to train upcoming photographers
In memory of the 4th anniversary of late Pa Ibrahim Ademola Bayo Fashola, the family of the Minister of Power, Works and Housing has instituted a ‘Fashola Photographic Foundation’ where upcoming photographers could be assisted to achieve their professional dreams.
Pa Ibrahim Ademola Bayo Fashola, father of the Minister of Power, Works and Housing, Mr. Babatunde Fashola, SAN, who was born on September 25,1933, until his death had deep passion for photography, a hobby he practiced till his death.
He died on August 5, 2013. A copy of the long week programme which was made available to The Daily Times, revealed that the foundation was launched last Saturday, August 5, 2017 at City Hall Lagos.
Prior to the launch, a one week photographic workshop was organised for upcoming photographers with 15 people participating in the workshop. The copy of the programme also revealed that each of the participants at the end of workshop was required to practicalise the training through photographic competition.
The photographic entries were exhibited along the exhibition mounted by The Daily Times and the winner of the completion was given a free all expensive paid scholarship for training at New York institute of Photography, USA.
