Evans Drove Investors from my Constituency-Rep. Emma-Egoh

The House of Representative member, Oghene Emma-Egoh, under whose domain notorious kidnapper, Chukwuzubelu Onwuamadike, aka, Evans, operated has disclosed that the activities of the hoodlum affected business negatively in the area.

This is as he wants the whistle blowing policy to be extended to kidnap cases in the country.

Disclosing this to journalists in his office during the week in Abuja, the legislator said the arrest of ‘Evans’ has brought relief to him, his constituents and Nigerians in general.

”The arrest of ‘Evans’ made me to heave a sigh of relief because my constituents were harassed constantly by him and his gang. Also, what the families of the victims went through is unimaginable. They succeeded in driving away investors. If a young man’s intention is to drive away investors, you don’t expect anybody to be happy,” Emma-Egoh said.

He commended the Inspector-General of Police, Ibrahim Idris and the Lagos state Commissioner of Police, Fatai Owoseni for ending the nightmare his constituents were facing with the arrest of the kidnapper.

Meanwhile, Rep. Emma-Egoh wants the whistle blowing policy introduced by the present administration over corruption cases to be extended to kidnapping. “People don’t see any gain reporting the activities of kidnappers; hence I am advocating that the whistle blowing policy be extended to kidnapping. A lot of kidnapping happens regularly on the Okene-Benin express road, these Whistle blowers must have incentives to motivate them.
