Enugu community embarks on N5 million development levy

The people of Ikpamodo in Ikpamodo Autonomous Community, Igbo Eze North Local Government Area of Enugu State have embarked on N5 million development levies.

According to a prominent citizen of the community and former President General of Ikpamodo General Assembly, IGA, Prof. Lawrence Eya, the launching is to enable the community procures parcels of land where the headquarters of their local government development centre would be cited.

Enugu State Government recently approved Ikpamodo as one of the development centre headquarters.

Explaining the efforts made before Ikpamodo was eventually approved as the headquarters of the development centre, Eya said that Ikpamodo would have been chosen instead of Uda as the development.

The launching attracted prominent members of the community who donated generously at the launching that took place at the Community Primary School, Ikpamodo.

The traditional ruler of the community, Igwe Gabriel Eze, the Amoke 1 of Ikpamodo as well as elders of the community was present at the occasion.
