Emir Of Kano to speak on Theme of Nigeria Carnival In US

THE Emir of Kano, Sanusi Lamido Sanusi, has thrown his weight behind the forthcoming Nigeria Carnival in USA slated for July 25th to 31st 2017, in Maryland, United States of America.
The Emir, according to the Chief Executive Officer of the event, Benson Akinkuebi, was specifically chosen after due consideration of the main thrust of the Kano emirate which is arts, culture and tourism and unequaled commitment to the advancement of cultural tourism activities.
He revealed that the Emir of Kano is going to be the guest speaker at the event and would be speaking on the theme of the event for this year carnival which is, “Our language, our culture, our identity”
In a special message to the organiser of the event, the Emir promised to personally attend the event with full complement of the Kano Emirate traditional council. “It gives us an opportunity to showcase our arts, tradition, culture and tourism,” he said
Also the Olubadan of Ibadan is expected to deliver the exhibition lecture for the carnival at Freedom Park, old Prison Ground, Hospital Road, Victoria Island, Lagos on April 8 2017.
