EFCC quizzes Fani-Kayode over alleged $115m bribe

Former Minister of Aviation and chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Mr. Femi Fani-Kayode,   on Monday, appeared at the custody of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) over alleged $115m bribe.

The anti-graft agency tweeted that the former minister arrived at its headquarters at 9: 35am on Monday.

Fani-Kayode is being investigated for allegedly receiving money meant for arms purchase from the Office of the former National Security Adviser, Sambo Dasuki.

A letter inviting him to the commission for questioning read in part: “This commission is investigating a case of criminal conspiracy, fraud and money laundering involving Joint Trust Dimension Ltd, in which you featured prominently. In view of the above, you’re requested to kindly report for an interview with the undersigned.”

‎Last Friday, operatives of the EFCC besieged the residence of Fani-Kayode for at least eight hours.
