Ebonyi group endorses Umahi for 2019 election

A group in Ebonyi State, Equity and Justice Youth Forum (EJYF)yesterday endorsed Governor Dave Umahi for 2019 governorship election in the state.

The group, in a communiqué signed by its chairman, Idume Isu Emmanuel and secretary Comrade Akpa Victor Ogbonna, noted that Umahi has
addressed age long neglect of Afikpo Urban city by past administrations in the state through several projects.

It noted that before now, the road linking St. Mary Catholic Church with Ngodo through Amangballa in Afikpo, Afikpo North local government area of the state which he has constructed was a death trap.

“Governor Umahi is on course. He has also completed Afikpo/Abakaliki federal road which is the main route to Abakaliki capital city. With this road, people can now transport their Agricultural produce to Abakaliki and other places within 30 to 40 minutes, a journey which takes over two hours or more in those agonizing years”, the communiqué stated.

The group recalled that Abakaliki the state capital was in bad situation with infrastructural decay and that Umahi has transformed it within two years of his administration through massive road construction/rehabilitation, construction of long overhead bridges, installation of streetlights among others.

It however,urged the Governor to rehabilitate WTC Ugwuegu/Amaizu road in Afikpo North local government area of the state which it said has
been in deplorable condition.
