Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda Launches in Atlanta to Boost Diaspora Ties
The Renewed Hope Agenda, spearheaded by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, was officially unveiled Sunday in Atlanta, Georgia, USA, to strengthen diaspora engagement and global partnerships. The convener, Austine Dafe say, the historic gathering unfolded as Nigerians in the diaspora, community leaders, industry captains, professionals, and civic advocates convened in Atlanta to launch the Renewed Hope Agenda (USA).
“This visionary initiative, championed by His Excellency Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, President of Nigeria, unites supporters in driving economic revitalization, national renewal, and sustainable development”. The agenda offers a bold policy framework to reposition Nigeria for inclusive growth and global competitiveness.
Austine Dafe who spoke exclusively to the Daily Times hinted that, the initiative showcases President Tinubu’s achievements while fostering collaboration with the diaspora. It creates pathways for foreign direct investment, knowledge transfer, policy advocacy, and cultural diplomacy—harnessing the vital role of Nigerians abroad in national progress. “We’re building a Nigeria that works for every citizen—a nation of confidence, enterprise, and opportunity,” Mr. Dafe affirmed. Attendees responded with optimism, eager to channel diaspora expertise, capital, and innovation into Nigeria’s transformation.
Keynote speakers emphasized diaspora remittances, entrepreneurship, tech innovation, and advocacy as pillars of national growth, calling for unified home-abroad efforts. “Under Tinubu’s leadership, the agenda delivers results: economic reforms have bolstered fiscal discipline, stabilized finances, drawn foreign investment, and empowered the private sector. Infrastructure strides—in highways, rail, energy, and digital connectivity—are reshaping Nigeria’s landscape for lasting prosperity”.
The event praised Imo State Governor Hope Uzodinma for his exemplary alignment with the agenda, commending his policy execution, reforms, and support as a model of collaborative leadership. Priorities also include security enhancements, quality education, better healthcare, and youth skills for the global economy. The forum ended with a call for unity and action, affirming Renewed Hope as a collective mission for prosperity and relevance. Mr. Dafe announced the upcoming swearing-in of Renewed Hope Agenda (USA) Ambassadors.
