The Federal government has declared Friday, April 3 and Monday, April 6 as public holidays to mark this year’s Good Friday and Easter Monday celebrations.

Minister of Interior, Mr. Abba Moro, made this known, on Tuesday, in Abuja.

In a statement, signed on his behalf, the Permanent Secretary in the Ministry, Abubakar Magaji, and made available to journalists, the minister enjoined all Christians and Nigerians in general to extend the “spiritual benefits of Easter celebrations, which are love, peace, justice and kindness to their daily living”.
While wishing Nigerians happy celebrations, the minister urged them to use the occasion to pray for peace and unity across the country.
