It is no more a news that, civil servant have started committing suicide in Kogi state over unpaid nine months’ salary. But the melodrama display by Dino Melaye, a Nigerian politician, and member of the 8th National Assembly, representing Kogi West shows he knew where the shoe pinches.

The man who went on his kneel begging the National House of Assembly through the office of the Senate president to act on the current situation of his people before it get out of hands.

Meanwhile, the rumour spreading around now is that, after a director in the Kogi State civil service reportedly killed himself over unpaid emolument, 40 Nigerian senators have donated at least 1,260 bags of rice to civil servants in Kogi State.

However, the state governor, Yahaya Bello is yet to announce how or when the salary will be paid, so Kogi state has become NGO’s den according to information.
