Dangote Cement’s Q3 PAT grows by 63.1 % y/y

Declines 33.2 % Q/Q

Dangote Cement Plc is focused on attaining its projections for the 2017 financial year as demonstrated by its recently released third quarter (Q3 ) 2017 financial statement, which showed growth in key performance indices year on year, just as quarter on quarter performances dimmed.

The company in its result released by the Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE) on Thursday, showed that even as the third quarter 2017 accounting period showed that Profit after tax (PAT) peaked at N49.09billion, indicating year on year (Y/Y) growth by 63.1 per cent. However, PAT declined by -33.2 per cent on consecutive quarter on quarter basis.
The DCP’s healthy profit after tax was delivered on the back of healthy profit before tax (PBT), which closed the Q3 accounting period at N64.60bn, indicating y/y growth by 171.1 per cent.

However, the PBT reclined q/q by 17.5 per cent.
Dangote cement Plc has reported N190.90bn a 27.4 per cent year on year (Y/Y) growth in revenue for the third quarter period ended 30th September, 2017, the company’s result further showed a -6.7 per cent decline in revenue, quarter on quarter (Q/Q) basis.
