CSR: Boulos cleans Epe community beach

Boulos Enterprises Limited recently gave a boost to its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) profile with a beach clean-up campaign taken to a beach at Ojualaro area of Epe in Lagos State.
Speaking at the beach cleaning exercise, the General Sales & Marketing Manager of ,Boulos Enterprise, Stanley Evans stated that there is need for Suzuki or other reputable companies assist the government in promoting the concept of the Cleaner Greener city which is a healthy way.
In his words the campaign have been going on in Nigeria for seven years and it happens between August and September in every single country in the world were Suzuki is stationed. So today it happening in Vietnam, Brazil, Scotland, Singapore and Nigeria. It is something very special which one day in a year Suzki goes out to clean the beach so as to assist the government to promote the concept of a cleaner greener city which is a healthy way.
The clean-up campaign took place on 28th of September at Epe Lagoon which is located at Ojualaro Marina Road, Epe Lagos State for it 7th year edition. Boulos pioneered the concept of Beach clean-up campaign which is to promote a spirit of cleanliness and care for the environment.
Evans gave a brief history of Boulos existence which has been in Nigeria since 1964 and it 53years now. He also said, Suzuki has set up factories all over the world and it has been selling its motorcycles in Nigeria. About Suzuki outboard marine engines, the World Health Organization (WHO) in regards to consumers complaint has set 2 stroke engines as second most dangerous engine because it omits oil with exhausts which when breath into our lungs causes lungs or bladder cancer, so it is very dangerous and poisonous, that why the Nigerian Government banned the 2 stroke engines in the year 2012. Presently Suzuki has set its standard high in producing 4 stroke engines which is very much reliable.
Boulos was pleased to welcome a variety of respected representatives from Epe local government; Head of Department on Agriculture, Mr. Paramole Rasaki; Chairman House Committee on Agriculture, Hon. Abimbola Bolaji; Vice Chairman House Committee on Agriculture, Mr. Agbadanla Ibrahim; Representing Minister of Agriculture, Lagos State Agriculture Input Supply Authority, Mr Ojuri Olatoyinbo and other members of the community who came out in mass in making the campaign a success.
The Head of Department on Agriculture, Mr. Paramole Rasaki appreciated the clean-up campaign pioneered by Boulos Enterprise on how they helped to develop their business which is fishing by assisting in cleaning the beach and enlightening them on the eco-friendly use of Suzuki 4 stroke engines which will aid in their fishing business.
Rasaki went further to enlighten the members of the community on how relevant it is to keep the beach clean and also assisting Boulos in keeping the beach clean for their own benefits.
Also speaking at the event, Chairman House Committee on Agriculture, Hon. Abimbola Bolaji; urge the community to render their help in assisting on the cleaning of the beach with one mind, as it is a means of contributing to the government positively. He concluded with the motive that ” together we stand, divided we fall”.
The General Sales & Marketing manager and the Chief Commission Officer, Boulos Enterprise Stanley Evans commend the government on the ban of 2 stroke engine in Nigeria, which is very harmful to human health.
